About Webspoon World

Webspoon World is the written companion to our YouTube channel. Everything here comes from our own kitchen — dishes we actually cooked, filmed, and ate ourselves — written up as proper, step-by-step recipe pages so they're easy to follow while you cook.

We built this site because cooking from a video is hard. You can't easily jump back, the quantities fly by, and you lose your place the moment your hands are covered in flour. So each recipe page comes with:

  • Step-by-step instructions you can print or read on your phone
  • A portion calculator that scales every ingredient
  • Built-in timers you can start with a tap
  • Checkable ingredient lists so you don't lose your place
  • The original video embedded on the page, for reference

We lean toward the kind of food we actually eat during the week — fast, generous, full-flavored, and doable without special equipment. Air fryer, oven, one pan, one tray. No truffle oil, no foams.

Who's behind this

The cook you see in every video is Alex. Around him is the small team that runs the Webspoon World YouTube channel — filming and editing each cooking session, then writing it up as the recipe pages on this site, with the timings, temperatures and little fixes that made it into (or got cut from) the final video.

If a recipe didn't work for you, tell us. If you made something great from one of ours, we'd love to see it. The best way to reach us is via our contact page.

Thanks for cooking with us.
