Five Air Fryer Recipes: Chicken Triangles, Potato Skewers, Crispy Corn, Donut Holes and Onion Chips

Five air fryer recipes, each built around a different kind of crunch. The first spreads seasoned minced chicken thin over a tortilla, cuts it into eight triangles with a pizza cutter, coats them in egg and panko and air-fries them for ten minutes — a schnitzel with no pounding and no deep fryer. The second is a full dinner on a stick: whole potatoes sliced into coins, restacked and skewered with a bacon-and-beef meatball in every gap, steamed in foil for twenty-five minutes and then brushed with barbecue sauce until glossy. The third starts with a can of corn and a tablespoon of cornstarch, paprika and chili powder, and ends with a bowl of crunchy, lightly spicy kernels. For dessert, a dough of only self-rising flour and yogurt is rolled into balls, air-fried and shaken in cinnamon sugar while warm. The last chapter is onion rings dusted with flour, paprika and cayenne, air-fried for fifteen minutes into light, smoky chips. Every chapter gives the exact temperature and time and the one detail that decides whether the result is crisp.

The opener: seasoned minced chicken spread thin over a tortilla, cut into eight triangles with a pizza cutter, pressed into panko and air-fried for ten minutes until crunchy right to the tip.

Dinner on a stick: four potatoes sliced into coins and restacked, a bacon-and-beef meatball pressed into every gap, steamed in foil for 25 minutes and then brushed with barbecue sauce until glossy.

The easiest of the five, straight from a can: corn kernels tossed with cornstarch, paprika, chili powder and salt, then air-fried until each one wears a crunchy, lightly spicy shell.

The dessert turn: a dough of only self-rising flour and yogurt, rolled into balls, sprayed with oil and air-fried for ten minutes, then shaken in cinnamon sugar while still warm.

The loudest crunch of the five: onion rings dusted with a tablespoon of flour, paprika and cayenne, drizzled with oil and air-fried for fifteen minutes with a shake halfway.
